A 2nd non refundable deposit (equivalent to two tution payments)  is due two months prior to the starting date.  Additionally a  facility and technology fee totaling approximately $140 will also be due.

All required information and health forms for your child will need to be submitted prior to the first day of attendance.

In order to be eligible, a child must be at least 2 years of age as of September 1st and toilet trained.  For the Hummingbirds class, we at least ask the child is familiar with the toilet and training has began at home so we can re-enforce it at school.

FAQ

  • Do children have to be potty-trained to join Lake School?
Children attending the youngest programs, Hummingbird & Finches should be at a minimum, marginally trained by the first day of school.A monthly diapering fee of $45 will apply until the child is potty trained. Children are assisted and encouraged to use the toilet. Families must provide diapers and wipes of their choice.
  • Are you a full time program?
We believe in a gradual approach to schooling, so young children start at either 2 or 3 days a week for 3-4 hours a day. As students grow older, we offer 4-5 day programs with the option to extend their daily hours with our Enrichment and Aftercare programs. The longest a child can attend would be Mo-Fri from 8 am- 3:45 pm (added fees apply for Extracare).
  • What is the teacher to student ratio?
For core time our ratio is generally 1:8, but often it is closer to 1:6 or 1:5, since we have 2-3 teachers in the classrooms. During extended care (i.e. enrichment, after care) the ratio may be 1:10.
  • How many child are on site at one time?
We have a maximum of 46 children onsite at one time, divided into 3 classrooms. Each class has 14-18 children. Up to 2 classrooms may share our big backyard, giving the children a chance for age-mixed play with the students from the different classes.
  • Does The Lake School provide snacks?
Since COVID, for safety purposes, we are asking families to pack a small snack (crackers/chips and fruit) in a separate bag for our snack times. Children staying for Lunch Bunch must bring a healthy lunch from home that is ready to be eaten. We are a Nut Free school. Every child should bring their own water bottle to school each day. Please label all items from home.
